Jennifer Weatherhead is a leading television travel host and journalist based out of Toronto, Canada who’s been traveling around the world for the past 18 years. Her stress-free and budget travel tips are centered around destinations for families, honeymooners and singles, as well as navigating flight cancellations, delays and travel safety tips.
She’s visited 85 countries and has been known to travel more than 50,000 miles a year. Some of Jennifer’s most exciting experiences abroad have been hiking Huayna Picchu Mountain in Peru, sleeping under the stars in the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan and diving with great white sharks in South Africa.
TV TRAVEL EXPERT
A seasoned guest on TV she’s appeared on hundreds of news and talk programs on American and Canadian networks and affiliates including NewsNation, NBC New Now, Entertainment Tonight Canada, CTV, Global, NBC, FOX, ABC, and CBS. In the past year, she’s appeared on 135 TV news and talk shows programs giving traveling tips, travel news, and travel inspiration.
WORLDWIDE TRAVEL JOURNALIST
A digital travel writer as well, Jennifer has written for on-line publications such as The Globe & Mail, The Toronto Star, Refinery29, TinyAtlasQuarterly, Unearth Women and FLARE. She’s given tips on pandemic travel etiquette, has been quoted on the best luggage you can travel with (she’s a carry-on only fan with pro packing tips!), and inspired new travels with her passion for getting to know a destination.
Prior to TV, she was the Senior Digital Editor at ELLE Canada Magazine. She had her nose deep in the fashion and beauty worlds, interviewing famous designers, makeup artists and models. This meant jetting off to Italy for behind-the-scenes tours of Gucci’s leather factory, strolling through Oscar de la Renta’s Connecticut rose garden, and attending fashion weeks in New York, London and Milan.
Jennifer fell in love with exploring new destinations and discovering hidden gems not found in every guidebook. So she left her career at ELLE to focus on all things travel and launched her blog Travel & Style. It’s here where she writes about planning extraordinary vacations.
